Nice location but a dirty...

Liked: The breakfast was nice and the location of the hotel is great (close to the airport and near the city). The view from my window was great (especially after I cleaned the window myself).
Disliked: In Sweden, politeness is not considered a virtue, but the hotel personnel should try to be a bit out of character (this includes reception and cleaning personnel). This does not apply to all personnel, the lady when we checked out was very polite and helpful. The room was not clean when I joined (and this includes hair in the folded towels, and handprints from children (including parts of their meal) in the windows. I also had a hard time asking (too many times) to clean the room. Cleaning the food from the previous visitor from the windows is not part of their job... you have to do it yourself. Finally, probably there is a serious security issue with the fire alarm system. I suspect it does not work, since they accused a fellow visitor in the room next door of smoking, based on the fact that she had cigarettes on her desk. Probably it was a bluff to make her pay the fine, but I felt very uncomfortable for my safety after this incident. I mean this was an admission that their smoke detectors didn't work properly!
