Nice family stay at Scandic...

Liked: Old (1875) but well maintained hotel from the Scandic group, very close to Malmö central station (less than a 5 minute walk) and situated in the Stortorget plaza and close to Lilleborg plaza which was full of restaurants, the personnel was very kind and helpful, the family room was large and clean with comfortable beds. Breakfast was quite varied with enough choices for everyone.
Disliked: We expected to find slippers in the room at a 4 star hotel and also a mini fridge but there weren't and also no AC, I don't know if one wouldn't be helpful during summer although I know Sweden isn't as hot as Spain let's say but anyway... Also a bit noisy in the morning from the cars outside. But all in all these wouldn't be reasons not to recommend this hotel as it had more positive aspects than negative ones.

Beautiful Hotel with good price...

Liked: Everything about this hotel is great. It is a historical building. It is nicely protected. Staffs are very friendly. The room was big enough for us to stay comfortably. The breakfast was very good. The hotel is in the center of the city. Very close to restaurants and bars.
Disliked: Nothing

Liked: Conveniently located very close to Lila Torg and train station. Staff was very cheerful and helpful. Packed breakfast was offerred to us once we told them we leave earlier in the morning

Cute Hotel Stay

Liked: I really liked the hotel's location. It was close to the station and a lot of great restaurants. The hotel is very historic, and I love the way that it is decorated. There was so much history in the hotel that was truly fascinating. The breakfast was healthy, delicious and the staff both at the front desk and restaurant were friendly, kind and warm
Disliked: I was not too fond of the fact that the room was so small and had no amenities. I did ask for bottled water, and I was told that I could drink tap water, which was the reason there was no water in the room. The room temperature was inconsistent and depending on the time I took a shower, there wasn't hot water

Liked: This lovely old hotel is located in the main city square, a short walk to all the most popular tourist attractions, railway station (for day trips), and airport bus station. The staff was very friendly and welcoming, both at the reception and in the breakfast area. Speaking of breakfast, the buffet was really good, with lots of high-quality food. The breakfast area is very nice and spacious. There’s also a sauna in the hotel, but we unfortunately didn’t have the time to use it. Our room was comfortable enough, with a big bathroom (equipped with body wash, shampoo, conditioner, and lotion).
Disliked: The room had a dated feel. The extra bed for the third person squeaked on every single move. We had 2 bathrobes and 2 coffee cups, even though the room was booked for 3 people. We asked for a third coffee cup but never got one. The bath was also a bit leaky, and it was easy to slip while getting out of it. Another downside is that, like most Scandinavian hotels, this hotel also doesn’t have daily room cleaning. Instead, you need to ask to have your room cleaned — and if you want it to be cleaned every day, you’ll feel uncomfortable because they stress how they don’t clean the rooms to save the planet. It would be nice not to have to ask for cleaning or clean your room when you’re on vacation.
