Liked: I'm very disappointed with management of this motel they kept my $100.00 deposit for return the key & remote. They refused to return my safety deposit I did call the police .the police showed up but still he refused to back my money and police said you have to file a case in small claim court against the motel and Booking.com. I will wait for your kindness response. The manager from beginning was asking me to cancel my reservation through Booking.com and pay him cash money. Please let me know if you are not able to return my deposit thanks

Very poor
Disliked: I was choosing this accommodation (and paid many $$$ more) because of the kitchen and I like to prepare my own meals. Well there was no kitchen equipment and I had to buy all the stuff.

Go to place and friendly...
Liked: This is my fave place to stay when I’m in Carlsbad. Front desk staff are awesome! Check-in was very fast, the room was clean and comfortable. Nice, updated bathroom/shower. Water gets hot very quickly. Check-out time 11am, they don’t pester you to hurry up. Overall great experience for a great price!!

Great slur for those wishing...
Liked: Fantastic location on the edge of Carlsbad Village and and a quick 10 minute walk to Carlsbad’s lovely beach. Family run who have maintained this smaller traditional motel with great care.

Could be a lot better.
Liked: Price was great. The location is great. It was quiet at night. The A/C worked well. The shower had good water pressure and I enjoyed the soft water.
Disliked: The room was minimally clean. I didn’t want to investigate for fear of what I might find. The A/C was producing a lot of dust, so, I’m not sure if that’s where I got the impression the room was not clean. Lots of grime on the floor and walls. It’s sad, because it could have great potential, considering the location.
