Liked: Selections were pretty good, but the seating was mainly outdoors and in late November a bit too chilly for that.The bathroom shower is very good, but it would have been much nicer if there were a hand-held shower, especially since the shower head is very high. Closet very small and hanging pole very high also - must have been installed by a 6'5" man!Very quiet at all times of the day and location in Saratoga with lots of interesting shops and restaurants.
Disliked: See above.No ground floor rooms available (should have made sure when booking) and stairs quite narrow, especially for older folks!No real indoor seating in breakfast area.

Liked: Quiet, clean , super comfortable. Very good breakfast selection and strong coffee.
Disliked: I prefer to have an extra comforter so as not to have to have the heat on at night.

The lodge was well located...

Liked: The lodge is within walking distance to fine restaurants and the Hakone Japanese Gardens. The room is sufficient, clean and cared for, with a comfortable bed.
Disliked: The continental breakfast didn’t have enough healthy choices.
