Very peaceful and relaxing
Liked: This was the quietest hotel room we have ever stayed in! We had excellent quality sleep on all 2 3 nights. Rooms were very spacious and we like having the toilet and shower room separately.
Disliked: A proper wardrobe would have been ideal as we travelled with long coats so hanging them from the walled railing was not ideal but manageable. It would have been nice to have breakfast included for the price.

Historic building
Liked: Great location and design, very friendly staff.
Disliked: We arrived at 4pm, room not ready. We were offered a drink at the bar and they would come get us. Waiting waiting. At 5 we went back to reception desk, they forgot to inform us that the room was ready. Curtains were too small so you can’t block out the light. This for a 360 euro room. They took note but that doesn’t help much. Asked for extra nespresso cups, they would be sent up, never happened. Had to get help to get the window closed, some complicated system. There were other minor things nothing that spoiled the stay but underperforming for 5 star and price.

Not recommended. You can find...
Liked: The gym setup is excellent, with high-quality equipment—seriously good. The breakfast food was quite nice, and the bathroom was new and well-designed. The hotel has potential; it’s aesthetically pleasing, but it’s just not looked after properly, with little attention to detail or customer service.
Disliked: We had a terrible smell in our room, like mold. I informed reception about it immediately upon arrival and asked them to unlock the window, but they said that was not possible due to security reasons (I don’t understand why, as it was the third floor in the EU—I've never encountered that restriction before). They said they would check for another room, but no one ever followed up with us. They opened the window just a tiny bit, which didn’t help; the smell was persistent and awful, and it didn’t go away. We left the air conditioning on to try to refresh the air and get some oxygen into the room, but it seemed like part of the problem—it was both noisy and smelly. We went back to reception, and they noted it down, but again, nothing was done. At checkout, we mentioned it again, and they apologized, offering us a complimentary breakfast. However, I doubt anyone will seriously check the situation, and I suspect the next guests will just be placed in the same room.Overall, they have very junior staff throughout the hotel, which isn't inherently an issue—they try their best, and it’s not their fault—but there seems to be a lack of management or senior staff presence, and it shows. During breakfast, we sat the entire time with dirty plates from the previous guests. Glasses from the night before were left in the lobby; it just seems that nobody cares. The hotel is missing a management touch and attention to detail.
