Scandi-charm and Cornish coasts.

Liked: What a venue! Amazing location - views from the rooms were breathtaking. Really great location for walking the coast path and heading down to the beach. Short drive or medium walk into Newquay itself, or to Watergate Bay. Fantastic family facilities - if you’re travelling with kids this is an amazing venue! Games room, indoor swimming pool, mud kitchen, pirate ship, adventure playground, enchanted maze, paddle tennis… kept the kids entertained the whole time we were there. There’s a great coffee shop for the adults - which does lovely breakfast/brunch bits and then a bar which does small plates as well. The rooms have really decent cooking facilities and the separate kids bedroom was a game changer for us. There was also a gym, outdoor swimming pool and wim hof style plunge pool as well, but we didn’t get to see them during our stay.
Disliked: Check in / check out time. Check in was at 3pm, with no chance of being able to check in a little earlier. However we were able to leave our bags in the car (free parking) and use the facilities.Check out was 10am!!! We were only there for the night, so it was quite pricey for essentially 19 hours.

Liked: Room was beautiful. Artwork fabulous in the rooms and bed super comfy. Staff very friendly. Pool fabulous. Loved the individual large changing rooms. We were the first customers in the bar too. Breakfast not overpriced and excellent. Short walk to the beach too.

Disliked: air extraction is a tad too loud to sleep with but it could have been our room only

Lovely hotel to stay for a restful stay

Liked: Unfortunately we never used the restaurant, however the whole place was immaculate, the staff were so friendly and welcoming. We needed a dog friendly hotel and this hotel was amazing and had a lovely little dog walking area which I'm sure in the summer months is quite peaceful to sit and watch your dog run around. For a one night stay with all the facilities I would highly recommend.
