Liked: It was by the waterRestaurant was good but you need to update website - we thought it was closed
Disliked: Wished we could have stayed longer to enjoy the property

Brilliant evening meal and breakfast...

Liked: Wonderful location alongside Golden Lake, great room with a veranda.
Disliked: The signage for Sands was set back from the road and we missed the motel.It would have been possible for a larger sign to be placed along the roadside as the Restaurant was well advertised.

Missing the potential

Liked: The view of the lake was stunning. Clean towels and bathroom. Large downstairs motel room. Quiet and peaceful.
Disliked: This was the most expensive stay out of 6 places and the least impressive. Apart from the stunning lake view, the room had quite a few established cobwebs. How the a/c unit was fitted in the window was concerning. The lady at check in was pleasant. We missed the restaurant for evening meal. Continental breakfast (included) was well below standard. We were informed first it would be 5 dollars extra each, then after we said we were residents, we were told every 3rd person was 5 dollars extra. The person 'on duty' didn't seem to be interested and we felt an inconvenience. This motel is in a prime location and area for visitors travelling through the park; especially during the fall. It could be capitalising on the potential instead of allowing visitors to pass by.

Liked: A three bedroom chalet was available so my family of 6 people could stay together. It's nice that it is equipped with a kitchen and kitchenware. The lake and the beach are nice.
Disliked: The bed was not as comfortable, but it's ok

Disliked: one toilet paper roll.. a lot of cob webs .. loud air conditioner.. no food around really unless you go to restaurant there.needs a bit of a makeover.. quite dated
