Great stay in La Jolla!

Liked: The room was a good size and the bed was very comfortable. We liked the location a lot! It was a short drive to La Jolla Cove and Mission Beach and a short walk to an overlook to the ocean. We appreciated the on site parking.
Disliked: While we liked the room a lot and appreciated the refrigerator we would have liked a microwave to warm up food. It also would have been nice to have a mirror closer. The main mirror was far enough away that my wife couldn't see to put on her makeup. Maybe adding a swing out mirror would help.

Look elsewhere for a restful...

Liked: The facility was generally clean, the staff was friendly and helpful, and the facility was in a great location with plenty of parking spots.
Disliked: The room was designed oddly. For example, the bathroom was small, but had no hooks on which to hang any clothing. It also did not have any electrical outlets. The sink and large mirror were located in the main room area by the door. There were ceiling lights that lighted all areas of the main room with a single on/off switch. If one wanted additional lighting in the sink area, the only option was to light the entire unit. There was one small wall lamp by the bed and one desk light that had a lighted display that made it difficult to sleep in darkness. The large wall mirror over the sink had a digital switch that lit the frame of the mirror, but it had a digital on/off display that remained lighted all night. I think it was meant to act as a night light. In sum, the lighting choices made when the room was designed were very strange and made it difficult to get a good nights sleep.

The price is reasonable.

Disliked: The gate behinds the office is locked at 7:50am. Not sure why?! No drinking water in the room.
