Was quiet, friendly and near...

Liked: The hostel was near both bus and train services as well as for walks down by the waterfront. The kitchen was pretty well stocked for breakfast and there were plenty facilities and equipment for those who might want to cook more extensively.

Liked: We didn’t like anything about this place. We actually refused to stay here and luckily the premier inn up the road had a room for us.
Disliked: DO NOT BOOK! We ended up not staying in the room and relocating to the Premier Inn up the road (only cost £10 extra per night too).We booked a double with private bathroom, looked fine on the website but in person was beyond tiny and access via slippery steps which moved when you walked on them. The bed was smaller than a double, two sides against the walls and you could barely walk down the other sides. The mattress was lumpy and thin, the bed frame wobbly. In the room there was nowhere to put bags, the bathroom was tiny, the bed had cheap nylon sheets, it was cold and noisy being on the road. The kitchen was up slippery outdoor steps and the ‘breakfast included’ is help yourself to food in the kitchen. Our biggest issues were accessibility and NO PARKING! The closest parking was two streets away, despite it being advertised on booking.com as having parking nearby! We didn’t stay there in the end, thankfully the nearby Premier Inn had a room. When I requested a partial refund, the owner refused because he felt there was nothing wrong with the room. I would have at least expected a token gesture as we left the room untouched.
