Great and convenient Motel for...

Liked: Motel itself was great for the price. Room was clean, water was hot, staff was available. No bugs or mold or anything in my unit. Wifi and tv worked. Super close convenient to downtown/old town. Sound insulation isn’t great but no worse than you’d expect at any other Motel. Stayed 6 nights and zero issues with the facility itself.
Disliked: Location is what it is. You WILL hear people racing their cars/bikes down R66. Not an issue personally, but some people may not like window rumbling engine noise every 5 minutes til about 2am. And while it’s not in the worst parts of the city, it is down the road from them so you will have some very interesting people walking by all day and night long. Keep your car 100% empty and locked at all times. They do have staff present during the day, often seen walking the perimeter which was reassuring, but still, be safe yall.

Best value in town.

Liked: The rooms are very large. Room has a desk. The lighting is bright. Not to far from Old Town and the hip area to the east. This place is not the Four Seasons but for the money it’s a very good deal. I often stay in Albuquerque before flying out and stayed in a LOT of hotels there and maybe 20 times at the Sandia Inn. The extra benefit is I can back up to my room. I often have my bicycles to cycle along the river trail.

Needed to spend one night...

Liked: It was easy to find and the room was easy to find as well. The front desk is 24hours. Bed was comfortable. Heat was adjustable and comfortable. King suite had hot tub in it and it worked well, fit two people. Mostly clean, had fridge in room.
Disliked: No late check out, we arrived 2:30am due to the blizzard in the Midwest and having to drive 13 hours and next morning, they knocked at 11:05am, called the room at 11:15am and then called me once again on my cell phone at 11:25am when I was already in my car and driving away. Check in isn’t until 2 or 3pm anyways so I’m not sure why they were so incessant about us being physically gone right at 11am. In the shower, I brought my own shampoo but knocked one of the small provided bottles over and when I picked it up from inside the bathtub, there was a curly black hair on it (I have straight dyed blonde hair and my husband has short green hair). I paid extra for the king suite with the hot tub in it and one of the tiles on the side were duct taped on (but still moved to the side and not even in place) and it really wasn’t worth the $145 a night I paid for, it was advertised nicer. There was a coffee machine but it looked so dusty and caked with like calcium or whatever water residue I didn’t even use it. Outside sounds were very loud, I could hear someone whistling outside the door at 9 or 10am and anytime someone took stairs.
