Sandcastle Resort, Virginia Beach

I really enjoyed my stay at this Best Western. The staff was great; the food was good and the hotel itself was very clean and lived up to my expectations!

Liked: Restaurant; beach access, The views.
Disliked: The elevators shook a bit going up, but wasn't really a big deal. The parking garage tops out at 6'2" - had to park across the street and walk, which was fine.

Liked: Great hotel; very clean; great staff.

The room was excellent and extremely clean. There were plenty of fresh clean towels for everyone and the staff was super nice. The view from the balcony was beautiful and it was all well worth the price of the room. The only problem we had was that we were unable to eat breakfast there because the breakfast line was extremely long due to the hotel being filled with cheerleaders there for nationals which also made the pool not an option because of crowding.

Disliked: I had a nightmare on smoking room, but when I got into it I smelled smoke. Someone was smoking but the smell was coming tru vent in bathroom. I had to shut door and turn fan n to keep smell out. It was hard to take shower with the smell of sloke

Great place, wonderful staff, especially...

Liked: The location was fantastic. Room overlooking the beach with balcony. Breakfast was continental. The room was very nice and the staff very helpful. Tiffany was the best asset they have as she did double duty on many jobs while we were there. She should be highly appreciated by the resort and was by us.
Disliked: Only problem we had was the sink and they fixed it immediately. So no complaint. I've never seen a hotel/resort so quick to act on any problem. It was solved instantly.

If looking for resort don't...

Liked: The breakfast consists of bananas and tangelos. There was toast, english muffins, and bagel; also quaker breakfast bars. The drinks were juice, coffee, tea. No hot breakfast available.
Disliked: I did not like the fact that this is called a resort when it is actually a hotel. The rooms are very small; including the bedroom and the bathroom.
