Liked: The breakfast was great! Wide variety of options. Good quality items. No limit on choices. The room was a lovely style. The bed was a bit firm for me but still had a nice quiet nights sleep. It was a nice touch for them to write me a happy birthday message in a card with some brownies. It was greatly appreciated thank you!The staff were really friendly and there was always someone on hand if needed. The bar area was nice to relax in and had a great choice of bar snacks/food/drinks.
Disliked: There was a festival on which made it difficult to park on the weekend we stayed. If the visitors to the festival weren't using the hotel it would have been a better idea for them to be allocated an area for parking, so other hotel guests didn't have to struggle to park or park on the grass.

Liked: Beautiful hotel spotlessly clean and all staff without exception friendly, helpful and nothing too much trouble. Lovely grounds/golf course and super comfy rooms. Delicious food very well presented in restaurants.
Disliked: We didn’t realise quite how far it is from York when you are relying on taxis (this was our fault as we didn’t research that properly). But would be an issue if you wanted to go back into the City for the evening.
