Disliked: Not same Room in pictures when booked then downgraded me rather than honour the price advertised, poor location , Overpriced, underwhelming , never anything available at bar very very poor for such a high price

An event hotel rather than...

Liked: The location was great. The hotel looked lovely. Porters, car valets, and cleaners were all friendly.
Disliked: Room service options were terrible, after sightseeing all day, we wanted to relax in our room with room service. There were 6 options, 3 different salads, a burger and a pasta.. The carpet was stained and needed a wash. Not enough coat hangers, we were given 4 hangers each for a 6 night stay. When we asked at reception for some additional hangers, we were told this was the standard.. Only bar stools on balcony to sit on. Bathroom mirror broken. Poor lighting at seating area. Building works around the pool area during the day. Piped music outside ends at midnight and starts again at 0500. There were no facilities for hot drinks, but we did get a kettle once we asked at reception. There is not enough storage for clothes, only 2 drawers and 2 shelves. Drinks around the pool were warm due to no fridge. White sparkling wine was served warm with ice cubes. Geared more for events rather than holiday makers. People used the pool area as a meeting space, so it was not very relaxing. In summary, this is more geared up for events, 1 or 2 night stays, but not a very relaxing holiday venue. People mention the price, but I have no issue paying if you get the service and amenities, but alas, I think this hotel was more focused on styles and no substance.
