Overpriced room with great breakfast

Liked: The room is spacious and everything is at hand when you need it. Location is also okay, very close to Kudamm. Breakfast is also great, with great variety of meals and snacks. Good noise isolation, which is important. WLAN is decent, but not secured.
Disliked: Despite nice photos and amount of square meters, the facilities are definitely quite used and old, starting with leaking faucets, broken lamps to squeaking mattresses and chipped furniture. That would be expected for a vacation house vibe, but given the status of the hotel and the price it feels way overpriced. Disappointed, unfortunately.

Liked: Room facilities were clean, up to date. Good location
Disliked: Some cobwebs in the room that weren't hard to spot. 99% of tv channels were in German so pretty useless as there was no subtitles available. The only channels in English were the news which we weren't interested in. No instructions on how to contact the reception.. just a telephone with no notes or anything so we had to go downstairs and ask.. Handheld shower was broken however still usable, atleast the water pressure was good. Just sparkling water available in the room which we don't drink, no snacks or any other drinks available in the mini fridge. Ended up paying 9€ for a big bottle at the downstairs hotel bar!! Then there was people getting arrested in the main hotel lobby in front of everyone, another few guests standing nearby watching the drama unfold. Unsure if this is typical in Germany, but it did not leave the best first impression staying at this hotel nor the safest.
