Nice place - very authentic

Liked: Good location, close to the Wharf. Nice staff, very helpful. Rooms are tiny and loud. But it's ok to be there. Good restaurants nearby - and the cable car around the corner!

Liked: Actually an authentic and nice place. Very oldish ... and the rooms are tiny. I imagine a couple with lots of big suitcases ... My first room was really depressing, much to small. But a nice guy at the reception (they are all nice!) gave me a much better room. If you just need a bed in North beach at an affordable price and the Italian bar in the same building, the wharf in 5 min walking distance, the cable car around the corner, a good Thai restaurant a few yards away - so go there.

Liked: Great location, very well priced and nice friendly staff

Good for a short city...

Liked: Charming interior kept in good condition. Shared bathrooms were very clean. Good coffee. Given the great location, it was also a bargain price.
Disliked: Our room was really small, finding a place to open our suitcases was difficult. Getting fresh air in the room is also difficult. Toilets and showers are scarce, so I guess we were lucky that a handful of rooms was empty. Plus, the sink was located in the hallway, so you basically have to brush your teeth in the middle of the hotel.
