Hotel Description
Offering panoramic views across the Gulf of Naples the San Francesco al Monte is a restored 16th-century monastery. It features a seasonal panoramic garden with pool (available for an additional fee). The San Francesco is located at the foot of the hill leading to Sant'Elmo Castle and the Certosa di San Martino Museum. The hotel is a 2-minute walk from the Corso Vittorio Emanuele Funicular Railway stop. Rooms here all have views over the bay with Mount Vesuvius in the background. They are all air conditioned and come with satellite TV a mini-bar and a private bathroom with shower or bath. Breakfast is buffet style and is served in La Terrazza dei Barbanti restaurant on the 4th floor. You can also make use of Mediterranean cuisine at lunch and dinner.

The place is wonderful in...

Liked: The hotel is majestic with a gorgeous view on the entire city. Historical building kept immaculate and clean.
Disliked: There is nothing negative to say about this place, a must visit

Very friendly and helpful staff....

Liked: Breakfast was plentiful and when we had to do an early check out the hotel gave us a “boxed breakfast”

Liked: Breakfast was ok but a little underwhelming. Also a pity that the garden was out of use and none of the furniture available considering it was sunny, warm and 24 c. Why shut it up at the end of September?

Liked: Staff were very friendly and helpful, rooms very clean and comfortable. Brilliant views of the city and great access to the Spanish quartiere.
