Front desk receptionist, Ana, was very friendly - made us feel very welcome. Bell staff was very attentive. We were only there for one night but overall it was a great experience.
Liked: Great staff; helpful and friendly; beautiful rooms; clean.
Disliked: A bit overpriced but then again, it is San Diego.

Unfriendly & unhelpful front desk...
Liked: The bed, we slept well. Aside from that, nothing. Went to Ox Coffee a short distance away in the morning for fabulous coffee and breakfast
Disliked: Front desk staff are atrocious. Yesenia has the faux friendly greeting with masked aggression just under the surface down pat. Immediately told us our room was not ready (check in time was 4, it was 3:30). As we had just driven 8 hours, we took two queen bed room instead of king. Horrible room eye level to freeway with accompanying freeway noise. Husband called downstairs to ask to switch rooms to other side of hotel and was first told by Angel that the other side of the hotel had construction noise. My husband pointed out that the construction had already stopped for the day and that next morning was Saturday. So then Angel says that the hotel was sold out/fully booked. Laughable obvious lie. Looked on Booking.com and saw at least availability of 20 rooms or more for that night so went down to reception and asked Yesenia aka Vesuvius (about to blow any minute) if we could have original room we booked. She says yes you can move to king but I'm leaving so my colleague will help you out. It took another front desk staffer 20 seconds to give us keys to king bed room on other side of hotel, huge improvement. Cleaning staff we encountered are nice but would never stay here again. Front desk staff are unfriendly liars, car park barricades do not work properly so you cannot get in or out using keys.
