The front desk was extremely helpful; quick, courteous, competent, and aimed to please. Room was small, but had an amazing view!

Great view and direct access...
Liked: The rooms were great. Great view and direct access to the River Walk.
Disliked: The noises in the hotel and also the traffic were very loud.

Liked: The hotel was near the event we were attending for my birthday.
Disliked: As a hotel general manager I noticed a few things credit card was not verified, that’s a big red flag, sure company deals with a lot of chargebacks. Elevator system was not explained at check in. Even though my request for early check in was fulfilled I would’ve waited until 4p yo get a room that was clean and inspected. I did note a request for the king as we were a couple snd I am sure the double would’ve been more valuable this night. Upon walking in the room you could smell a hint of mildew. The bathroom was not clean hair everywhere, stained hand towels. No liners in garbage can. Various splays of toothpaste at the sink area on wallpaper. Tiles in bathroom old and dirty. Vents in room full of dust and dirt. Lamp shades lop sided not adjusted. Room was cleaned with no care at all. Ceiling was extremely damaged this was the first thing you saw while opening eyes in the morning. The beefing was stained a d full of hair. The mattress was very old and flat. The pictures on the wall along with the ceiling indicated water damage in the room along with smell we first encountered. Wall damage on the floor room was located on a d various light fixtures with just a light bulb and no sconce to cover. As a GM of a more economical brand and former FOM of a Marriott property, the cleaning was subpar for a full service hotel. Also woke up with a rash on my arm reported to manager she said she will note it. Of all the complaints I would believe my rash on arm warranted more than a valet comp. I have treated since then with cream. This was a pathetic experience and ruined my birthday and new tears ever celebration, no care given i apologize for being a local and wanting to experience our Riverwalk hotels never again.

Liked: Location to the river walk and shopping center were minutes away. Family friendly environment that made me feel welcomed by staff and especially the restaurant workers at the lobby area .

Disliked: The original hold on my card was $1,490.38 we ended up having to leave early due to a family emergency. We had a 6.5 hour drive and checked out at 10:30 a day early. I specifically asked if we were going to be charged anything else for leaving early and was told no. I then checked my checking account and noticed an additional $486.92 charge and when I called to ask about it I was told they had no idea what it was for. After a while they told me it was for checking out a day early and that I’d have to wait for the manager to get there on Monday to have it reversed.
