Great Vacation
Liked: Everything was beautiful, nice, clean and comfy. I totally recommend this hotel to stay. Rooms are great and clean.

Cold Showers and Colder Checkout
Liked: The cafe and restaurant amenities as well as the proximity to the River Walk and Alamo were wonderful. Guillermo (valet attendant) was so helpful. We had rented a Denali and were concerned about the 6’2 height restrictions on the parking garage. He measured our vehicle and assured us that everything would fit perfectly. He also assisted in getting the bags out of the vehicle quickly. We sincerely appreciated his patience with the check in. Floor and door access were amazing. There are a lot of people passing through the lobby and everything felt very secure and safe. Checkin was wonderful. The agent helped us book a room that accommodated us better. The pullout sofa is a full size mattress and would not accommodate two people adequately. She secured our party a queen suite with two beds instead of the king suite with one. She also provided us detailed instructions about the amenities of the hotel. The room was spacious and clean.
Disliked: We were on Floor 7 and it took almost thirty minutes for the water to warm up. With 5 people in a suite we had to leave the water running between each person to ensure everyone could have a shower. The room has a charge of $25.00 destination fee which is issued back in a credit that can be used at the restaurant or cafe. You can order food for pickup by scanning the QRcode link on the tv. If you have it delivered to the room there is a $7.00 fee. If you pickup food, it prompts you for your room number but also requires a card and payment. Upon checkout I inquired with Char as to how the credits were applied. Neither day had them properly credited. She was able to manually adjust one of the days, but because I paid for the food directly through there ordering app we lost the $25.00 credit for one day. It’s someone misleading to have a way to pickup food, but not allow it to be charged to the room to receive the destination credit you previously paid for. The checkout process someone soured the positive experience at the hotel. While I realize I checked out at 4:00AM, Char had her AirPods in, and was curt and made me feel as if I was more of an inconvenience than a customer. When you pay $900+ for two nights you hope that at a minimum the staff can be patient and kind. Lastly, the hotel does not have oversized parking. Valet is $60 a night and self park is $47 which is more than reasonable for city parking. The lot across the street was $180 overnight as were most of the other garages near the hotel. If you have a truck or full size SUV this might not be the best option.
