Liked: This was accommodation that had all the essentials. There was a refrigerator, microwave, coffee pot, and kettle. It was a very stormy night while I was there, and all of these items were useful. The winds were very strong, and the door rattled, but I stayed warm and dry inside. This is not luxury accommodation, but it was very comfortable.
Disliked: I don't know if this is Salt Hotel's policy, or an omission by the room preparer, but there was no shampoo in the bathroom. As there was no staff on site that while I was there, I bought some shampoo at the Ilwaco Pharmacy.

Lovely, quiet, and rustic, this...

Liked: Lovely spot with harbor views from the conveniently located restaurant downstairs, which served us well for dinner both nights. The bed was terrific! The place was spotless. And they use environmentally friendly soap and shampoo. We really appreciated the contactless checkin and checkout. We were well apprised of the process and room codes before arrival, and perfectly timed texts kept us informed and reassured that we were well looked after. We enjoyed the quiet, rustic space to relax after a long walk on the beach, and availed ourselves of the excellent selection in the adjacent bookstore for our beach reads. We will definitely stay here again!
Disliked: Sometimes the door code didn’t immediately unlock. It usually took two or three tries for me to get it right. I suspect there’s a step I missed. But that was the only issue.

Very good

Liked: Close to everything. While the hotel is old it was very clean and comfortable. Being able to walk close water and enjoying the sights. The food at the pub was very good and staff exceptional.

Great place for the slow...

Liked: Stayed here for Rod Run weekend. The room was nice.
Disliked: Refrigerator ran noisy all night, shower sprayed wonky.

Liked: The room was well thought out. The built in furniture was a little industrial looking, but was well placed and efficiently designed. There was no actual closet, but the area for clothes was very spacious. I liked having 2 luggage racks and lots and lots of hooks! It was like a walk in closet. On site restaurant quite good. Bed was comfortable.
Disliked: The location was not very scenic - opposite a large parking lot. The building was showing it's age.

Loved being on the marina.
