The Scholar is a newly refurbished hotel located in the beautiful grounds of the Pollack Estate just a few minutes' walk from Arthurs Seat Holyrood Park and the Meadows and within walking distance of all of the City's world famous landmarks. Very pleasant place to stay....

Liked: Spacious, clean and well apportioned rooms. Very comfortable. Lovely spacious bathroom.

Excellent stay in a good...

Liked: Excellent hotel in a pleasant and calm environment. Professionally run with friendly and efficient staff. Good breakfast and excellent, if limited, menu in the Brasserie and bar.
Disliked: Limited range of snacks and small plates in the bar could be improved. The lift was out of order when we arrived, which wasn't mentioned at booking or on their confirmation emails.

Liked: It was all excellent the only thing I didn't like was the lounge music. Lounge versions of modern songs are awful. This was the only reason I could not eat in your restaurant. I think you'd be better off with some nameless jazz instead.

Liked: I liked everything in this hotel - place, room and kind staff. The room was an amazing for one person. A location is so quiet.
