Liked: Salerno is our go-to for the 5 of us when we come up to Chch. We get the two bedroom apartment as everyone has a bed. There is loads of space for us to spread out, two bathrooms, a full kitchen. The staff are always so helpful and kind. Years ago upon checking in on a really hot day, the kids were given an ice block! The rooms are always super clean.
Disliked: The only downside is the street noise, in particular, ambulance sirens.

Liked: Location was great . It was clean and tidy .
Disliked: The lights in the dark stairwell was a hazard.The building wash scheduled during my stay was an inconvenience coz the stairs stayed wet with puddles making it slippery esp in the dark, then something shorted out the power that night so fumbling around in the dark was a bit of an annoyance . I was annoyed at the ( no odorous cooking) note on the info thing as apparently that would induce an extra cleaning cost …this is very dramatic as what is odorous cooking..all cooking smells. Kitchen didn’t allow for cooking anyway but just reheating so why put that there. Also you should be able to cook in a motel ..and odorous is a matter of opinion and habit….garlic is odorous So what does it mean …I hate this kind of bs rules ….. there’s no need

Liked: The sofa springs were all broken and it was very uncomfortable

Liked: Well appointed rooms, had everything I needed, nice and clean as well.
Disliked: Would have been nice to have air conditioning however.

Spacious, comfortable room

Liked: Spacious room with lounge, armchair and 2 chairs. Kitchenette, large bathroom, great shower and water pressure. Even though it was not in the centre of town, we were able to do a very easy 20 min walk into the city. There were restaurants a couple of blocks away, and guest laundry facilities. No complaints!
