Disliked: Pay parking on top $30 quite expensive but there wasn’t much available parking around hotel so no choice. I hadn’t realised this when booking but lovely room helped.

Liked: ---Our Experience – Mixed FeelingsWe checked in on a Sunday afternoon around 3–4 pm and were warmly welcomed by a wonderful lady at reception—professional, friendly, and helpful. However, our experience quickly changed when we returned about 30 minutes later to ask some basic questions about local activities, restaurant options, and recommendations for what to do in Port Macquarie. Unfortunately, the male receptionist on duty at the time was unhelpful and noticeably unfriendly. Instead of offering advice or even a welcoming attitude, he coldly pointed us to some leaflets and left us to figure things out ourselves.As visitors passing through and new to the area, we expected some friendly guidance—especially from a well-rated hotel. I’ve stayed in many hotels around the world, and sadly, this interaction was one of the more disappointing ones. It left me wondering if there was something about me that made him feel I didn’t deserve his attention. I wasn’t looking for special treatment, just a bit of direction and local insight.That said, the female staff members we interacted with throughout our short stay were fantastic—attentive, kind, and professional. It’s just unfortunate that our first impression with the male staff was so off-putting, as it colored our overall experience.---

Liked: Hotel was great except for:- Horrible pillows on bed. Too big, hard to get comfortable. Also, if I had known about the $30 per day parking charge prior to booking rather than post booking, I would definitely have looked elsewhere.
