Disliked: Room cold when we arrived. Took ages to warm up.Bathroom sink blocked - but promptly sorted by maintenance Shower over high bath with too short curtain around, so difficult to get in/out and floor got very wet Mirrors poorly positioned with limited lighting above so difficult to do makeup Paintwork in hall leading to bedroom very shabby

Ruthin Castle

Liked: The location and setting was lovely. The outside hot tubs are great, and enhanced by the snowy setting. The staff were all very friendly and the restaurant had a good menu with lovely food, although the portion sizes were larger than necessary.
Disliked: The hotel cleanliness was poor and various parts of the hotel were cold, including our room. The air conditioning heating was on but not blowing warm air. We needed to use the portable electric heater supplied, but that had little effect. We paid for use of the Spa, but it was z bit run down and the coffee machine only provides hot water for making tea - no coffee, nor milk and sugar.

Liked: Beautiful property in delightful grounds and in the heart of Ruthin. Full of character. Comfortable bedroom with lovely view of the countryside. Great food!
