Wonderful place to stay. I...
Liked: Everything was excellent: accommodations, breakfast, staff. It’s located about a mile from the city center which we liked. It was quiet and we had a car. Beautiful gardens.
Disliked: Washcloths! There weren’t any. This was a common theme at a few hotels in Europe. My wife commented whenever there were no washcloths. Very minor issue. I still recommend Rufflets unequivocally.

Liked: The hotel is in such a beautiful setting. We enjoyed walking around the garden. Both dinner and breakfast were very tasty with a good selection to choose from . Our room was clean and comfortable.

GREAT VENUE FOR QUIET RELAXING...
Liked: The food was first class. we had the taster menu which was delicious and each course was explained toits content and preparation. breakfast was delivered to the Shephard's Hut on time each morning. these huts are wonderfully laid out and ideal for a bit of solitude.
Disliked: we stayed in "Mallard" a Woodland Shephard's Hut which was first class. the only draw back was the lack of a handrail to access the entry deck level, and steps were slippy when wet. Our companions were in "Kingfisher" and it did not have a hand rail either. I did consider this a SAFETY feature which definitely was missing.

Liked: Super restaurant with very good food. Fabulous young waitress Sam was exceptionally helpful and attentive. Very big room. Lovely gardens.
Disliked: Early check in request was ignored. Over a mile out of St Andrews town and not easily walkable.
