This hotel is in the perfect location - very close to all of the action, but quiet enough to feel like you've gotten away. The check in process was quick and easy and when speaking to the staff, we casually mentioned that we were in NYC for one night to celebrate our 5 year anniversary. Later that evening, we returned to our room to find a bottle of champagne and chocolate covered strawberries, compliments of Xander and the Royal! What a lovely, considerate, and unexpected surprise. Next time we stay in NY, we will most definitely be staying at the Royal!

Disliked: Our AC was noisy (but fixed the next day), it was a beautiful building but some signs of age. No hotel bar to enjoy the spectacular lobby. Very positive experience

Liked: The location of this property is good. Central to a lot of great eateries and Times Square. Other than that, I found this property way below expectations.
Disliked: Having stayed at the Royalton previously, we were very disappointed in the status of the hotel. No restaurant, no bar, and everything seemed quite old. The hotel needs a refresh and update.

Good hotel to be close...

Liked: Very helpful staff and amazing location in midtown. Within walking distance distant to the NY publicLibrary, St. Patrick’s Cathedral, Time’s Square, Bryant Park, Grand Central etc… comfortable beds and good sized rooms. Great showers and large bathroom made it easy for us all to get ready.
Disliked: No coffee service or restaurant option in the hotel, outlets in the room were sparse and our charge cables kept falling out of the sockets!
