Liked: Location and staff very good
Disliked: Needs a total revamp . Very faded decor. Also needs attention to cleaning . Carpets needed vacuuming lift pretty grotty . Toilets at pool badly in need of cleaning and update .

Hotel will be lovely when...

Liked: Good location and beautiful art deco building from outside
Disliked: Room very tired, swimming pool area dirty and in need of complete refurbishment. Old style mini-bar in room. Voucher system for breakfast.

We absolutely loved our poolside...

Liked: The location cannot be beat. The staff was attentive to our concerns and requests. The Friday Happy Hour party was fun and entertaining. Very enthusiastic people working there.
Disliked: The lounge chairs at the main pool were very dirty. Both the cushions and frames had dirt and mildew on them. The foot shower area was way too sandy and needed to be cleaned more often. The beach towels were very worn out. A daily newspaper is not provided and should be removed from the amenities offered on the booking website.

Disliked: Booked for 4 adults ( I2 adults + 2 kids )and only got breakfast For 2 adults even though breakfast was included in the booking. £100+ extra for only half our party and the breakfast buffet was very small, 4-5 cooked items, cereal and fruit. Basically £200 for 4 - we should have saved our £100 for 2 and went out for a proper breakfast with cocktails instead Resort ( not a resort ) charges too were unexpected Other guests had issues with this and breakfast price / allocation

Liked: I HAD DINNER ONE NIGHT AT THE GROVE THE FOOD WAS EXCELLENT THOROUGHLY ENJOYED THE MEAL SERVICE WAS GREAT!!
Disliked: THERE WAS NO WI-FI THE ENTIRE STAY SO I WAS UNABLE TO WORK THE ROOM DECOR IS OUTDATED THE BED WAS TOO SOFT
