Liked: The two ladies (duty manangers) where absolutely wonderful. Sitting playing chess in front of the open fire was wonderful. The food was exceptional.

Liked: The location was perfect, close to all the attractions. Lovely views from the balcony. Helpful staff.
Disliked: Not happy that we had to pay for the parking considering how much we paid for our room for one night. Apart from that, the stay was very comfortable.

Great location - pet friendly,...

Liked: Location, staff friendly and pet friendly throughout - joint owners with the Saracens Head so we could transfer our one breakfast there with the rest of my family group
Disliked: Walls a little thin - could hear some noise (door banging etc) but no big problem

Friendly comfortable hotel in beautiful...

Liked: Lovely location down a quiet road overlooking the river which you could hear from our room. Warm and cosy. Had a nice drink from the bar and a game of chess on one of the boards laid out in the lounge. Staff friendly and helpful. Breakfast could be as you chose- lots of options, most people seemed to be enjoying their full English ( veggie alternatives available). Good walk along the river from the hotel.
