Very enjoyable stay

Liked: Location….numerous restaurants within walking distance…….the fitness center…..the bar/restaurant on site….and the nearby lagoon.
Disliked: We knew that there was construction taking place and knew about it ahead of time but…..the jackhammering on our building was annoying especially when we were using the nearby pool between the hours of 9am and 4 pm.

Disliked: I live on the island. The hotel didnt give me a local discount even though it says they do online. Not booking here again, the outrigger offers kamaaina rates and actually delivers on them.

Beautiful setting with inadequate air...

Liked: The location is great. The restaurant food was quite good.. Our air conditioner was less than adequate as was the wifi. The hotel is old and should be replaced with a modern building. The luau show was great but the food was not. Disappointing.
Disliked: Modern working A/C would be a good starting point.

Liked: Location, location, location…. Beautiful site that was clean, but not necessarily well maintained. As of Nov 2024 there were much needed renovations going on, perhaps 15 years after they were necessary. The on site restaurant was great! Not only was the view stunning, but the food was delicious. I highly recommend the poke nachos. They were fresh, savory, crispy, and nutritiously topped with a bit of seaweed salad. Yum!All the staff were friendly and helpful, but at a casual Hawai’i pace. It’s vacation, so let’s relax and enjoy the view, right?
Disliked: Exceptional location, but as stated the whole place felt and looked dated. The one pool is small, more like a paddle pool, with no pool service for food or drink. There is towel service though. The side lagoon has no services at all, but it is a nice cozy space to snorkel. Lots of lava rocks provide for nice calm water. My sister got the “room with ocean view” and while the view was stunning, there was no lounge furniture on the very large balcony to enjoy it. It was a big empty space with one small round table and two chairs… the same type I had on my small balcony.
