I am leary of staying...

Liked: The unit was clean. We have stayed their before and great view of the Bay. Unfortunately our room's view was blocked by the exhaust system.
Disliked: When we went to the first room it hadn't been cleaned at all. The bed not made, the bathroom all a mess with used towels etc and dishes at the side of sink. A mistake so we were given an upgrade to another unit and one of the reasons we pick this hotel is because of the view and this upgrade gave us a view of the exhaust system. The pool is very nice but we couldn't use it as the heater is broken and waiting for a part. The staff was apologetic.......

Exceptional

Great location, nice view, good...

Liked: Staff was friendly. Room and furnishings were clean. It was nice to have the full kitchen, pool, sauna and workout room, although we didn't use most of it during our single night stay. Location was perfect, and the off-season price was budget-friendly.
Disliked: Room layout was...different. Not bad, just different, with lots of stairs. Side entrance door to hallway had a heavy closer, understandable with the proximity to the lakeshore, but it made entry and exit more difficult. We were overall very satisfied with our stay.

Clean and comfortable, friendly staff...

Liked: It was what we needed. One night of comfort and cleanliness. Rooms were dated and old but met our needs. The location and staff were exceptional. We’d recommend highlighting you get what you pay for. It’s not classy or modern but it’s clean and comfortable.
Disliked: For the price everything was fine. Things of note , the cover on the bathroom heater was handing off, the wall in the bathroom was chipped and corroded but it all worked at it was supposed to. Mouldings were missing or chipped too. The electric fireplace didn’t work.

Great friendly front desk staff...

Liked: Staff were very accommodating. The room was more than expected - studio which was fabulous with beautiful sun rise view over the marina.
Disliked: Check in time of 5pm was too late - appreciated getting in at four but earlier standard check in would work better.

Would stay here again if...

Liked: The rooms were spacious. Great view of the lake. Close to our destination. The front desk was very friendly and knowledgeable.
Disliked: The second bedroom was not big enough for two twin beds. There was no bedside table or lamp. The window ac in the second bedroom was super noisy and made the room feel claustrophobic. There was no coffee. The one sitting area near the main ac/heat was dirty with dead flies and dust. There was no ice in the ice machine.

Hidden Gem!

Liked: Good size apartment style room with cozy electric fireplace. Sauna and hot tub for relaxation. Location is right across the harbour with beautiful view of lake Huron.
Disliked: Everything is good except it's a bit outdated
