One of the best trip

Liked: Although this is an old two-star hotel surrounded by newer ones, in terms of amenities, proximity to the beach, hospitality, and providing beachside facilities, it deserves a higher rating. Considering the price and the services offered, I will definitely stay at this hotel again on my next trip.

Disliked: Room was smaller and less furnished that the photos. TV didn't work and it was incredibly loud with the street noise. Had to go through a maze past restaurant kitchens to reach our room. We stayed 1 of the 4 nights and left. Do not stay.

Location, location, location

Liked: Amazing location. Rooms could use a little TLC but great value and no resort fees. There are beach chairs that other travellers have left behind for your use.

convenient location for the beach...

Liked: The location was great and it was nice to have a pool to sit beside. The little kitchen in the rooms was also good.
Disliked: The noise....being on the corner of Kuhio and Uluiani (sp?) there were just too many loud cars blasting by without mufflers and boom boxes blaring away. It got quiet about 10 pm then got noisy again around 2:00 then started up again at 6:00. I never felt rested ....The noise reflected work and or party schedules perhaps? Also, the Poke restaurant below on the corner played their music too loud...it drifted into the rooms. Room 422 is a definite miss. The corner unit 424 a bit better as we could not hear the restaurant music...just more street noise!! The kitchen cabinets and window coverings were a little old and a little dirty. There was no dish soap nor clean up supplies. For the price and location, it was okay value. For $200 CAD a night a bit pricey but I guess we were paying for location? Would I stay there again, maybe but I would probably look for something a little more quiet.
