Lovely hotel and for the most part lovely staff. Beware, we were told to be at the restaurant for breakfast before 10.30. We were not told all food is removed at exactly 10.30. We were made to feel very uncomfortable when we weren't out of there at 10.30 on the dot.
Liked: Very clean.
Disliked: Breakfast.

Always great!
Liked: It is my favorite hotel in London. The beds are comfortable, the location is great and the service is wonderful and consistent. I have been staying there for the last 10 years or more. The rooms are always updated and well kept.
Disliked: Should include more amenities in the room for its price.

AVOID this hotel - they...
Liked: Emails from accounts apologising and promising to refund the deposit on the room. No refund has been received and the next step will be Small Claims Court + Legal Costs. This hotel is running a shoddy operation and (for the time being) cannot be recommended nor trusted.
Disliked: This used to be one of the very best hotels in Kensington, but whether due to management failures or bad decision-making, it's no longer the respectable establishment it once was.Upon check in, each room requires a £50 deposit against the usual: minibar, missing bathrobe, etc. All perfectly fine and reasonable... until you try and get that £50 refunded. It's a disaster.A day after I had checked out, I received an invoice stating that the £50 deposit had refunded to me in cash by the guy on the night desk. It never happened... Despite emails from the hotels accounts department and from the staff member concerned, I STILL have not been refunded the missing deposit which the hotel seem to think is a non issue.All in all, a truly dreadful experience and very poor management and accounting procedures. That being the case, I'd recommend anyone considering The Royal Garden Hotel avoid it and choose another local hotel which is honest and trustworthy.
