Lovely hotel and for the most part lovely staff. Beware, we were told to be at the restaurant for breakfast before 10.30. We were not told all food is removed at exactly 10.30. We were made to feel very uncomfortable when we weren't out of there at 10.30 on the dot.

Delightful hotel in Kensington just...

Liked: Front of house staff excellent - friendly and couldn’t do enough. Breakfast staff excellent. Nice bathrooms and beds. Excellent cocktails.
Disliked: Staff in Chinese restaurant Min Jiang were awful, trying to charge for things we didn’t even order. Food was a total rip off for the prices. Room decor a bit cold in style.

Excellent hotel!

Liked: We arrived at the hotel and were given a free room upgrade. It was an amazing room. We have stayed at this hotel a few times and the staff are always excellent, very polite. On one of the evenings we didn't want to go out so we ordered room service. A staff member brought the food and set up the table similar to a restaurant, even with flowers in the middle. When we called to say we had finished the plates were collected within a few minutes. Excellent hotel all round.

Liked: The location is great. Unfortunately our room didn't face Kensington Palace Gardens, but we had a nice view of Kensington High Street. The room was clean, nice and spacious.
Disliked: The front desk staff were arrogant. We had to wait almost two hours before we could get our room. This wouldn't have been an issue if I wasn't travlling with my 80 year old mother who needed to rest after the trip to London.

Disliked: They tried to charge me double amount as cash deposit while they sent to me to charge 50 € per night But as I paid by cash they told me to pay 100€ per night which was not mentioned in their message

Liked: We liked the location of the hotel and the views over Kensington Gardens
Disliked: In our opinion this hotel does not live up to 5 star standards. The staff lost our luggage between reception and the room, they then delivered it to the wrong room and had to retrieve it, reception and the front office did not answer their phones when ringing from the room, the kitchen was on an answerphone, the kitchen could not provide ham or tuna sandwiches ordered for us by the duty manager, just club sandwiches, when the sandwiches arrived they had forgotten the the drinks, breakfast was indifferent and the soggy scrambled egg was particularly awful. On the plus side the duty manager was very apologetic and upgraded our room.
