Liked: Easy check in and the location is about a 10-15min walk from the beach.
Disliked: We have travelled all over Florida and this is the first hotel which has charged for parking ($20). Additionally, check-out is at 11:00 and at exactly 11:01 we got a knock at the door from housekeeping to ask if we were leaving.Neither of these things left a good impression.

Liked: Thank goodness it was across the street from some place we could eat
Disliked: I booked best hotel because it had a swimming pool with a bar and restaurant at the same location. Those things were not open and the hotel was under renovation

Royal Beach Palace Saved Our...

Liked: The hotel remains in the middle of a refit and renovations. The Wi-Fi is good as was the water pressure in the shower. We found the beds comfortable and the room air conditioner (while noisy) did the job. The pool was an asset for our Grandchildren, especially seeing the resident Iguana who try's to ignore the tourists. The hotel is located a relatively short walk to groceries and to eateries. What really touched us was how the staff were so helpful. Our Cruise arrived in port after 7 days at sea and I opened my email to find that Booking.com had cancelled all 3 of our rooms at the hotel due to the expiry date elapsing on our credit card. It was spring break and a busy time but I contacted the hotel directly and with the hotel staff was able to resurrect our reservations. Holiday disaster averted!! The real asset of this place is the staff. They are helpful and very friendly. They saved our holiday by working to make room for our family of 9! Thank you Royal Beach Palace!!
Disliked: The front desk area can get crowded and the noise level of other guest's seemed to rise late into the night during our stay. However, there was a large younger crowd present and it was Spring Break.

For the price it was...

Liked: The bed, the microwave, the pool
Disliked: The shower, the towels, the soap, the plumbing, no breakfast, bar and restaurant under construction, lack of coffee, lack of fridge space, some ACs worked others did not work as well, beach was a further walk than advertised, the view was a CVS and not very great.
