Very good

Liked: Atmosphere was good. Staff on reception and in Elements were good. Room Upgrade was nice and very much appreciated. Facilities were very good and very seasonally decorated.
Disliked: No tissues in the room and unusual not to have a phone. Luckily I had an Android phone so could scan the QR code for assistance but my husband hasn't so would have been problematical for him. No thermostat in room to boost or reduce temperature.

It was ok

Liked: Lovely location and the pool and spa area is very nice.
Disliked: During the course of the night there was a lot of banging and crashing on the ground floor. Unsure what it was, but it’s not the first time this has happened! As the previous 2 times were the same. There was also some sort of alarm go off as well? The sauna wasn’t switched on and we had to request this from the staff of the spa. Also, the steam room was broke. Again, no one informed us!

Very poor value for money

Liked: The staff at the hotel were welcoming and friendly
Disliked: Ref the suite booked........I have paid 'much less for much better' !!! The access to the room; 'Rose' was up very narrow and awkward flights of stairs and when carrying a suitcase, it was made even more difficult. If it was my wife carrying the case, she would have really struggled to get it to the suite ........ even I found it not the easiest of access !!!The room itself was OK at best and definitely not worth the £400+ cost for the 1 night we had booked........which when combined with the cost of the 'average' quality evening meal, meant we had a £600+ cost which simply could not be justified.
