Liked: Room was very nice and free breakfast was great way to get started in morning. Great value!

Liked: It is okay with Hotel Route 66 have your own spa in room are worthy!
Disliked: Easy to stopover this hotel from Chicago or St Louis on Historic Route 66 Highway!

Liked: I heard a dog bark all damn night long so annoying! And then to top it off the “free breakfast” was blah ! I got the biscuit n gravy and it’s nothing to brag about
Disliked: Bed was too still and dog barked Alll night

Nice staff - Wouldn't stay...

Liked: Great location for part of our Route 66 trip! Staff were friendly and nice and the Diner was really cool.
Disliked: The rooms were very dark and dingy! the TV was on the wonk, we had gotten bitten a lot on our legs overnight, the room felt dirty and it smelt like mould/like it used to be an old smoking room. We had a hot tub but took ages to fill up and the buttons were missing, lights were really dim and flickered. I get it is dated because it's an old Route 66 place but a revamp wouldn't go a miss.

Not worth the added expense

Liked: The tub was nice, the hot water got really hot. Breakfast was good.
Disliked: There was a mandatory $100 cash deposit in addition to paying for the hotel room that was not indicated upon booking. The hotel receptionist wasn't going to give us a receipt for the deposit but we insisted and she eventually gave us one. Didn't realize it was a motel they turned into a hotel. The rooms were rustic and lots of the light bulbs were burnt out. Hallways were narrow and needed to walk sideways through some of them.
