My favourite hostel!

Liked: This is easily my most favourite hostel in all of New Zealand. Staff were incredibly friendly. The pods were comfortable and very spacious. Rooms were laid out in a way that it was also spacious. Location is great, I cant believe the value for money staying here!
Disliked: Bathrooms need modernising, but they are still useable!

Effective for my needs.

Liked: I was in late and out by 6.30am. I provided my own food. Just boiled water for tea, which I brought.The kitchen facilities appeared good and were well utilised by other travellers to prepare their evening meals. No one else was up when I made my morning cuppa and left.
Disliked: All was fine for my purposes.

Best location and clean.

Liked: Super central, close to everything, especially if you travel by bus. Bathrooms, kitchen and toilets are clean despite the fact it is a very busy and popular hostel. The reception lady is super friendly and smiling.
Disliked: No separate area to store luggage so room could be small and messy when fully occupied. Upper beds don't have sockets for phone charging.

Liked: Nice n helpful staff. Very efficient to solve customer's problems.
Disliked: There is no window in the twin bed room.

Exceptional

Great atmosphere here!

Liked: Staff amazing, especially with trying to help me find a bunk I could access after injuring my foot! Really nice vibe at this hostel. Beds fairly comfy.
Disliked: Only downside is that one shower in the ladies bathroom wasn't the greatest.

Liked: Excellent central location, great staff especially Julian who was very welcoming, friendly and informative.
Disliked: Busy hostel, would have benefited from more kitchen / dining / communal space and a quiet area.
