adequate but not ideal.

Liked: The breakfast was excellent. The facilities were clean. Staff member was friendly.
Disliked: Picture on booking.com is of the back of the house and so when trying to find the property it took an hour of driving around until the small B&B sign was spotted. Even the postman I asked for directions had no idea where the property was. Phone number on line is not up to date so when I tried to ring for directions no one answered. Only BBC 1 worked properly on TV. The beds were so soft the matressess almost hit the floor when sat on. The beds also creaked when you moved on them. None of the furniture in the room matched and the room was too cluttered. The towels were old and worn and all random colours. The private bathroom across the hall was so cold that we couldnt use the shower or bath. In general the property needs some general maintatenance and making up to date as it looks very tired, new beds are also needed. I would not stay there again. My daughter was actually scared.

Whole place needs a good...

Liked: Breakfast was good and the size of room was good
Disliked: When we arrived felt we had arrived at the wrong place.. photo on the site is the back! Didn’t realise that the bathroom/toilet stated ‘private’ meant across the landing passing other rooms! Coffee left half full in the tin all stuck so had to get my own. The whole place needed a lot of TLC and outside needs a good clean and tidy, with cigarette butts. Very unloved. Also arrived and the garden is shared with a school of children so very noisy. Very expensive fox the non quality of the stay. Very disappointed.

Good

Liked: The hostess was very nice and accommodating. Allowed me to stay in the breakfast room until I had to leave and I was allowed to drink as much tea as I wished. The bed was very comfy. For those that have dogs they are dog friendly which was very nice to know.
Disliked: 'Didn't like' is too strong but I found that I was not able to close one window as a climber had grown up through the gaps. Luckily it was a warm night so did not matter. The room could have done with being vacuumed as there were a few bits on the floor and a few cobwebs around. The bathroom was a bit tired looking but was clean.
