Liked: Very comfortable luxury English Country Hotel with great location in heart of the Lake District, very comfortable rooms and excellent food. Relaxed vibe, and easy walking from the door.

Liked: All of it, from the staff (knowledge, friendliness, assistance), the quality of the hotel, amazing food.....we couldn't fault it. The quality of the food at dinner and selection of wines were excellent. We couldn't fault it.
Disliked: Nothing.

Liked: The food was right on the button…this is our second time staying at Rothay Manor and top marks…and yes we will be back
Disliked: I have an electric car ….charging was a challenge …it would be easier just to use your credit card instead of having to download an App.

Liked: Very nice decor and relaxing space. Amazing food in the restaurant and attentive staff
Disliked: Nothing. The only thing I would say is there were a couple of stains on the bath mat and toilet roll

Lovely relaxing stay - perfect...

Liked: A brilliant 2 night stay at Rothay Manor in March 2025. The food was excellent, breakfast and evening meal, and the staff made us feel so welcome, going above and beyond to make our stay special. Would highly recommend for anyone looking for a luxury stay a 5 minute walk from the centre of Ambleside. Thank you so much!
