Very comfortable environment.

Liked: Quaint. Bed was extremely comfortable.
Disliked: Old and kind of dated. More renovations are needed.

I was satisfied overall with...

Liked: The mansion was beautiful and cozy. It also felt very secure. I loved that even the most basic room there still had it’s own luxuries. The employee on site the first night, Emily, was very friendly and accommodating!
Disliked: There only ever seemed to be 1 employee on site, making that person not easily accessible due to helping other guests or doing other duties. I was unaware ahead of time that this would be the case. Had I known, I would have come with a checklist of questions to make sure I had them all answered up front. For instance, my booking.com email showed checkout time by noon. That seemed later than I’m used to, so at 9:44am I texted the employee number for the mansion to verify that noon was the correct time. My husband also called and left a voicemail when nobody answered my text or his call. We finally got a text back at 12:13 saying checkout was at 11am… I don’t consider myself high maintenance, but I suppose I need a little more maintenance than that. I’m used to the phones in the room where I can call the front desk. Call me old-fashioned.

Ok.

Liked: Staff were friendly, however limited hot water. Had to run hot water in shower for 10 minutes or longer to heat up and then only lasted for maybe 5 minutes. No breakfast for two mornings, they issued Uber vouchers that didn’t work and no follow up.

Great stay

Liked: It is a beautiful mansion, a prime location, everything was clean and they really take excellent care of the mansion.
Disliked: The bathroom sink was off but I stayed so shortly and didn't ask for help. Maybe I didn't even know how to turn it on.

Excellent, I wish I could...

Liked: Very friendly staff, very well kept rooms, good breakfast. Offering non-disposable plates, mugs, and cutlery at breakfast was great.
Disliked: A fruit salad, or more fruits (banana, grapes), porridge or bran for cereals, and nuts/seeds would have been great at breakfast.

Luxurious and walkable.

Liked: The mansion was ideally located, on a quiet street behind the French quarter, closer to Frenchmen street which we preferred. It was a beautiful property and we loved our soaking tub.

The hotel did not live...

Liked: I liked the open kitchen area, and the bedroom was clean.
Disliked: The elevator was poorly constructed because it took forever to start. And when it did start, it took 10 minutes to get to the 3rd floor. The shower head was filthy, and the hot water wasn't working properly. It was lukewarm, not hot. The website advises to custom/personalize your room, however, when you submit your request, it is not honored. When we arrived at the hotel, the only thing that was provided that I requested was the shower cap, toothpaste, mouthwash, snacks, and aroma pillow spray. The only 10 items on the list were missing or ignored.

Great location - Good Breakfast...

Liked: Great location close to the French Quarter, in walking distance. Drinks and snacks offered for free in the room. Good beds. The included breakfast is a good start to the day and the staff are kind. Beautiful mansion overall with secure entry.
Disliked: The mansion has so much to offer but it needs work. Holes in the curtains, dirty carpet, and in dire need of a new paint job. Once renovated, it will be an even better place to stay as well as better value for money.

Beautiful retreat in the French...

Liked: We liked the location- placed nicely between Frenchman and Bourbon Streets in the French quarter but far enough to be very quiet. The breakfast was lovely. The pool looked great however we did not have time to use it.
Disliked: We did not receive the room we expected as they have many rooms as we were told, it’s likely the pictures you see onlineAren’t necessarily what you will receive. Enjoyed our stay nonetheless.
