Liked: Very comfy bed in a small room. Two windows, both of them overlooking gloomy brick walls. Check-in process was a bit lengthy, this can be avoided with adding an extra clerk during peak hours, or asking for details in advance (e.g. passport number). Excellent location, couldn't be better. Decent breakfast much appreciated.
Disliked: I didn't like the decor, but that's a matter of personal taste. Felt I was paying way to much for the type of room I received.

Disliked: More powerful air con in the room would have been good. And thicker curtains / blackout blinds to make the room darker for sleeping.

Disappointing

Liked: Mate Mario has an excellent location, close to the Opera and Palace.The room is too small and too dark. Furthermore, it has a sink in the room, while the toilet and sink are separated by glass from the room. This means that you have privacy, but you can hear (and smell) everything that is going on in the WC in the room.

Thus, this room does not have a normal, separated, proper washroom.The breakfast was fair, offering three options for cheese and cold cuts, for example. We had to ask almost daily for more yogurt, butter, or something else to be refilled. The staff in the dining room was loud and late setting the breakfast for 7 a.m. If you come early, you have to set your own table while they serve themselves breakfast!!
