Located on the doorstep of beautiful Otanewainuku Forest 25 minutes' drive from downtown Tauranga guests staying at Rolling Hills Country Stay B&B can wake up in the country and enjoy their rural New Zealand surroundings. A delicious breakfast is served of fruit salad with homemade toasted muesli and yogurt followed by bacon and eggs toast croissants and jams tea and coffee. You can see cows grazing nearby and listen to birds singing or check-out what is growing in the vegetable garden and hot house. Set separate from the main house the studio offers its own entrance an private bathroom and a kitchenette with a selection of teas/coffee. You can walk among the giant Rimu trees in Otanewainuku Forest walk to the waterfall or up to the Trig for a panoramic view of the Bay of Plenty. There are a range of Rotorua geothermal parks to explore in the surrounding areas as well as restaurants of Tauranga and beaches of Mt Maunganui. Hobbiton Lord of the Rings movie set in Matamata is a 50-minute drive away.

Superb

Liked: Hosts were wonderful and great people. Lovely to chat to.Self contained unit was beautiful. 2 hour round trip to stunning waterfall.
Disliked: Location is beautiful on the eye, but be aware 25 minutes from any shop. Not a problem for us, just shop.in advance.

Liked: Quiet location The owners were so friendly. Breakfast was amazing - so delicious. We loved our stay so much we will book and stay there again. The accommodation fantastic. Highly recommended this BnB.
Disliked: Not applicable. Everything was perfect.

It was a super stay...

Liked: A fantastic stay experience! Margaret and Rob are very friendly, welcome and helpful to us. The surrounding is fantastic, the room is very clean and comfortable. We had fresh breakfast every day, thank them for making breakfast for us very early. The hiking routes around are very unique. My son and I spent four very enjoyable nights together.
Disliked: Nothing

Great place, conversation, very good...

Liked: Our hosts were very friendly- we enjoyed some lively conversation with them during breakfast!!Breakfast consisted of fruit, yogurt, eggs fresh from the farm hens, toast, and bacon.Served with hot drink of choice.Thank you for sharing your home with us!

Peaceful very comfortable self contained accomodation with great hosts living on site.

Liked: Location was serene, peaceful and close enough to drive into Tauranga town if we needed to. Self contained accommodation was roomy, very comfortable with a verandah to relax on. Perfect hosts living on the property. Excellent full breakfast with some fresh produce from the property. Huge bonus having breakfast with our hosts who were engaging, switched on to life's madness and happy to share local knowledge on places to visit.
Disliked: Nothing to dislike about this fabulous bnb.
