Spend the extra money on...
Disliked: The room had an old mattress, old dirty furniture, the bathtub was chipping and cracking. When asked about a refund they refused. When I asked for a receipt they refused. My card key quit working several times. Leading me to walk on an injured foot back and forth. The rooms had a horrible smell. They took the money out the day before my arrival. I won't ever be staying here again. Thankfully I brought my own blankets and pillows because I was scared to get under the sheets and blankets. I even brought my own toilet paper and towels and a gallon of water to wash up with. The manager came down in his pajamas and asked alot of too personal questions....very creepy.

I will never go back...
Liked: I was participating at an adult choral camp at Blue Lake. I only needed a place to rest my head. The property was close to Blue Lake Fine Arts camp so I liked the proximity. I liked that I could get a hot shower. The bed was reasonably comfortable and the towels seemed cleaned and as expected quality wise for the level of hotel. I was in room 115 which seemed to be outfitted as a handicapped room so I liked that it had no carpet which made it feel cleaner and the tub had lots of grab bars so considering you didn’t know how slippery the tub might be was a great assurance.
Disliked: There were no options for hot water for tea. Even with a microwave there were no cups I could have used. Not everyone drinks coffee. It was dirty—the top of the microwave in my room had red sticky stuff. The tub also appeared dirty, thank goodness I was only taking a shower. There was no stopper in the sink and I needed to wash out a shirt so I used the ice bucket. The ice bucket didn’t come with a plastic liner but the ice machine barely put out any ice. The carpet in the hallways were dingy. There were no hangers in the room to hang anything up on. Very environmentally unfriendly with little bottles of shampoo and plastic wrapped soap. There should be dispensers for shampoo, conditioner and body wash that can be refilled. The furniture was dark and dated, but I wasn’t spending much time there, nor did I want to. The breakfast area had a cold case for milk and juice, the outside was dirty as if no one wiped it down each morning. I felt like I wanted to use hand sanitizer after getting milk out for my coffee. The breakfast options were of no import to me as I was eating elsewhere anyway. However it was all cheap processed carbs. For $90 a night, it would be appropriate to provide fruit such as bananas and apples as well as protein sources such as yogurt cups and cheese sticks.
