Victorian charm
Liked: The location, cleanliness, charm and amenities are all wonderful. You're walking distance to pretty much everything you need, and the room was super cozy and well appointed.
Disliked: The upstairs guests on the second night were so loud, our sleep was totally ruined.

Good Stay at the Historic...
Liked: I found my room at the Porter House to be most comfortable with a few good extras like a microwave, fridge, Kettle along with plates and cutlery. The location was excellent with only a short walk to Government Street and the Parliament Buildings. I would stay here again as everything was quite satisfactory except for the door code.
Disliked: I was lucky to be met by Johnny, the manager as he was leaving so he was able to help me get sorted out. The problem was that the code to the door was not sent to me the night before or even the morning of my booking which is the usual case when you check into an Air B&B. It came later in the day when I didn't have access to the Internet. When staying here it is important to phone the management the night before to get the code to the door.

Good
Liked: The quietness.
Disliked: The whole room & bathroom could use a good cleaning. As in washing all the walls, doors, etc.

Amazing accommodation in fantastic location
Liked: The suite we stayed in was just perfect, had a small kitchenette with microwave, coffee machine, and small grill. The room was beautifully decorated with artwork by Emily Carr (the name of the room). Access was easy with a key code sent to us in advance, we had a few minor issues which were promptly sorted by phone or what’s ap. the car parking which we paid extra for was vey handy and I think worth paying for. On street parking was not an obvious option. The accommodation is brilliantly located for a short walk to downtown and the harbour, there are supermarkets and coffee shops (we recommend Discovery!) close by and you are Right beside Beacon Hill park . Absolutely brilliant location. Also there was an outside area with Barbecue.
Disliked: The only minor thing we’d mention was that it was a little warm at times especially in the night probably due to the pilot light on the gas fire. But I guess if you found it too warm you could open the window.

Very good
Liked: Great location, right downtown and near a large park, and easy to walk to the waterfront.
