Simple basic room. After hours...

Liked: Bed ok,
Disliked: Only 1 chair, 2 would be good. Faint smoke smell. We had requested a room with minimal stairs to climb. Response said they could accommodate. Upon arrival they put us in a 2nd floor room and said they could put us in a 1st floor room with 2 beds instead of 1. At first we agreed then I asked if it was the same price and she said it would be $20/night addition. Felt very bait and switch.

Liked: The beds were comfortable and it's a convenient location.
Disliked: We checked in and they gave us the key to a room that was occupied. We were moved to a different room but we didn't get much sleep because the people upstairs were super loud till past midnight so it was rough for us who have kids. The other bad part was the bathroom is tiny and the overhead lights in the room didn't work, but other than that it was a decent stay.

Liked: Pool and hot tub.
Disliked: Barn door to bathroom opened over the light switches to the bathroom rendering them impossible to turn in or off unless door was fully shut. Obvious oversight on door type. TV remote was sticky upon check in. Room rate was obviously inflated due to event, unimpressive value-for-money.

Liked: No breakfast included was fine with us. Bed was comfortable, blackout curtains effective. Quiet neighborhood. View to river visible.
Disliked: Room is showing wear. Toilet seat should be replaced. Needs better lighting in the room overall.

Lousy and frustrating.

Liked: Tiny rooms with something called satellite tv. Now, satellite tv sounds cool and everything if you know how to use it. I do not. There are no directions on how to use it and despite my calling the front office twice, I got no help from her either. This causing me embarrassment and my friends getting angry and leaving to go watch the Duck game someplace else. Not a good stay and I will be spending my money elsewhere in Hood River from now on. An encouraging my friends and family to do the same.
