Location and some historic charm were the only pluses for me.

Liked: Location; on-site restaurants; beautiful old tile floors.
Disliked: Incredibly noisy in the lounge area adjacent to the front desk. Dirty indoor/outdoor carpets in rooms; no safe in room; heavy hallway carpets made rolling suitcases difficult. Renovations appeared to be 20 years old, such as the use of gold-colored fixtures in the bathrooms.

Disliked: Hairdryer was not good! Not enough power, took forever to dry hair! Also, wooden platform surrounding bed was not good. I hit my legs on it every time I got in bed!!! & it didn’t light up at night as in other room. I have so many black & blues!

Liked: Location. Fabulous junior suite with balcony and great view.
Disliked: Access to Boathouse for just a drink in the early evening was incredibly difficult - the person on reception there was quite abrasive and instructed us to try and find a space at the bar on every night of our stay. We didn’t find a space in the early evening (4-6). Also menus in all restaurants had very limited vegetarian options.

Disliked: Extremely noisy rooms. Housekeeping very loud in halls. Could hear EVERYTHING in the room next to ours. Phone conversations, toilet, belching, etc. bed not comfortable and bathroom small. Don’t recommend this property!

Liked: The hotel staff were outstanding, particularly in the Golden Lyon and the riverside restaurant. Great pool and good gym. Location outstanding on Las Olas.
Disliked: The housekeeping staff are fairly noisy for a holiday hotel where guests are trying to have a morning lie in!
