Room not ready, air didn’t...

Liked: The room design was really fun with bunk beds over 2 queen beds
Disliked: We attempted to check in at 5:45pm and were told the room wasn’t ready, they said they would text in 15min when it was ready, I went back to the desk 20min later and a different staff person told me that it had been ready. At this point my kids were tired and hangry! The hotel is redoing the sidewalk and the area is not safe for my 2 year old around the stairs leading to the room. Then the air conditioner wasn’t working, I thought it wasn’t on and that I had turned it on. We grabbed a quick dinner and came back to figure out the air was broken. I called the front desk and they said they would send someone right away. Twenty minutes later I decided to start bringing in our stuff, as I walked out to the car it was dusk and there were many bats circling the parking lot with one in particular that kept circling right overhead. I called the front desk back to check on maintenance and to ask if they were aware of the bars or if the bats were new/displaced by the construction. They didn’t have an answer but said that the maintenance person would look into it. At this point I made the decision not to stay. I asked it we could be moved to another building but they didn’t have any openings. There were leaves on the floor and the bunks weren’t made. I couldn’t trust the facility or the staff and didn’t feel safe keeping my children there.

Liked: The location is great. Close to many food/shopping options.Loved the 2 pool option. We used them both! Great vibe in the patio area.
Disliked: The carpet in our room still had food crumbs from the previous guest. We had a room with bunk beds and the blankets on those could be of better quality. The main bed blankets were great.

Would definitely go back.
