Very good stay and excellent...

Liked: A very good hotel; warm, comfortable room and bed; very friendly staff; excellent dinner menu; excellent breakfast menu. Lovely location in Northumberland. I hope I can return for a longer stay.
Disliked: Bathroom okay but ready for modernisation. Most UK hotel bathrooms do not compare well with Europe.

Liked: Great location for exploring Northumberland and the Scottish borders. Fair price for the room. Lovely staff and the best English Breakfast I've had in a very long time.
Disliked: Not fancy, but really nothing to criticise.

Liked: A great view out onto the green and a great big comfy bed. Would definitely recommend!

Friendly hotel

Liked: Staff were great from checking in to the bar staff and then the young ladies serving breakfast, nothing was a problem, they were fantastic.
Disliked: Nothing

A room with a view

Liked: Such a lovely place, food was amazing and a warm cosy feel to the place. Staff were so helpful and nice. The views were amazing, the room was so nice with everything you could possibly need, clean, spacious and comfy.

Liked: Excellent food...breakfast and dinners. V comfortable room. But the best thing was the staff. They couldn't have been more helpful. I'd friends with dogs who joined me in the bar and another night, 9 non residents were able to join me for dinner with 24 hours notice.
Disliked: Don't arrive thinking it's a Spa Hotel. The warm pool is a good size and welcome relaxation after being on the moor, but it's functional rather than luxurious.
