Very comfortable and high standards.

Liked: Booked at very short notice, our host/owner was very accommodating and welcoming. The whole house is very well appointed and absolutely spotlessly clean.Our host (Jo) gave advice regarding local facilities and good places for dinner.Our room was very comfortable, and again, well appointed.Breakfast was the typical guesthouse menu, nicely presented and plentiful.Our host likes her guests to leave feeling well rested and well fed.We would certainly stay here again, if, like this occasion to break a long journey, or to stay longer and enjoy the area.
Disliked: Parking is outside on the road, so perhaps a little congested during high season.

Fantastic - highly recommended

Liked: Fantastic guest house in a really convenient location. The host, Jo, was extremely friendly and helpful, the room was spacious, clean and well equipped and the breakfast was excellent. We were extremely happy with our stay at Rivendell.
Disliked: The parking is a bit hit and miss as it's on street in fairly narrow streets - luck of the draw whether you find something nearby or not.
