Disappointed, but blame booking.com.

Liked: The room was nothing like what Booking.Com showed. I booked a double room which showed 2 beds put together which would have been perfect, but we got one small bed in the attic space where you could not stand up on the right side of the bed. Generally the room was on the cold side when we arrived, it was very small and cramped for 2 persons. We survived…. The staff were great and the restaurant good but pricey, breakfast 25CHF each!!
Disliked: Room was too small and cramped.

Great Lake location with easy...

Liked: Great location by the lake and close to public transport
Disliked: Our first room 321 was had a bare wooden rail missing skirting and a bedside wall mounted reading light in the middle of the room. It was very cramped for a double bed and clearly was a single room yet to be decorated. The reception offered us an upgrade at extra cost for a double room which we took. In hindsight this room should never have been offered as a double due to the size and state of decor. But that is an issue more for going through Booking.com than direct.

A lakeside gem.

Liked: We loved everything about the Rivage hotel. The room was large and we had a mountain and lake view. The location was perfect, two stops from Lausanne but we felt far away from a big city. The village is lovely. Staff were professional and friendly. We would stay there again.
