One person one bed. Two? Get 2 beds so you have a place for your luggage and whatnot.

Liked: Clean and the breakfast buffet was great and was treated promptly and professionally.

Liked: Location is great
Disliked: Bed bugs. I used to live in NY but these days only come through for work trips but I have never encountered bed bugs in all those years. The Riu has them and what’s worse the hotel does not seem to care. I reported this immediately after finding one in the morning. I left for work and when I came back I asked the receptionist what the plan is and they didn’t even know about me reporting it in the morning. After demanding another room the manager then offered to refund me taxes and fees on a less then $300 2 night stay if I’d sign a waiver to void future claims. Absolutely insane and you’ll see from my post history I don’t leave very many bad reviews but you should avoid this hotel at all costs.

Modern, clean hotel which is...

Liked: Clean, efficiently run property. The staff were friendly and we enjoyed the buffet breakfasts which offered a great variety of foods.

Liked: Everything is incredible. Amazing hotel. Breakfast is so delicious, and too many options are available. Despite being busy in the morning for eating, in a few minutes, you have a table available. Incredible

Great place to stay if...

Liked: The gym was great, buffet brekky was extensive & yum, staff were nice & helpful, bed was really comfortable, and the whole building was really clean. Location was great for a first time visit to NY.
Disliked: Whilst the location was great, it was also quite noisy overnight due to city traffic. But it wasn’t too bad.
